Biography
Builder of Territorial Networks, Relational Innovation, and Sustainable Economic Models
With a background in economics and over twenty years of experience across major IT companies, accounting consultancy, and alternative economic circuits, Maria Giovanna Carta chose to return to Sardinia to create new connections between innovation and roots.
After a career that took her to Cagliari, Padua, Milan, and Turin—within complex and highly structured environments—she decided to refocus on the value of territories, people, and trust-based relationships. Today, her work is centered on building economic models capable of generating impact, belonging, and real opportunities for local development.
In 2021, she founded Mannos, a project that promotes Sardinian productions through an innovative system of “productive adoptions,” connecting distant adopters with local producers in a journey made of experiences, stories, and seasonality. It stands as a concrete example of relational economy, blending storytelling, material culture, and social regeneration.
Through her work, Maria Giovanna conveys a vision that combines method, attentive listening, and strong rootedness. Her contribution is aimed at those wishing to build bridges between territories and communities, explore sustainable entrepreneurial models, or support innovation projects that respect local identities.
She collaborates with producers and businesses to design networks, experiences, and strategies that are meaningful and resonant. In training programs, she brings her analytical skills, systemic vision, and deep sensitivity to human and territorial contexts, offering practical tools to those who wish to innovate without uprooting.
